Venkatesha Murthy (Venky) is a globally recognized precious metal refining and recovery consultant, holding an M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry, an M.Tech. in Process Metallurgy, and an MBA in International Marketing. He has worked with businesses in over 60 countries helping them set up compliant, efficient, and sustainable metal recovery operations.
His clients are not local. They are spread across continents, in different time zones, paying in different currencies, reaching out at all hours. What he did not have was a professional website, a brand identity, or any kind of structured system for them to book and pay for a consultation.
We built all of it from scratch. The concept, the layout, the content, the booking system, and the admin dashboard.

A standard booking plugin was never going to work here. Venky's clients book from different countries, in different time zones, and need a scheduling system that understands that.They also needed to be able to pay for a consultation at the time of booking, regardless of where in the world they were.
The only way to solve all of this together was a fully custom build.
No website, no brand identity, and no existing digital presence of any kind
No concept or content to start from, the idea, positioning, tone, and copy all needed to be created
Standard booking tools like Calendly did not offer the level of customisation Venky needed
Visitors from any country needed to be able to book without timezone confusion getting in the way
The booking form needed to allow up to three alternative time slot preferences, because a single slot across global time zones almost always fails
Global payment collection at the time of booking, not after confirmation, was non-negotiable
After trying multiple third-party solutions, none could handle all of these requirements together without significant compromise

This was not a website project. It was a website project and a software project running in parallel, delivered in one month.
Venky had no digital identity to start from. We developed the positioning concept from scratch: a globally trusted precious metal refining expert who makes 30 years of hard-won knowledge accessible to businesses anywhere in the world. The website was designed and built around this idea, with a clean, credible layout that communicates authority without feeling corporate. All content was written by our team: the homepage, the services section, the about page, the expertise breakdown, the FAQ, and the blog structure.
We built a completely custom booking platform at consultation.venkymurthy.com, separate from the main website, using Next.js. The form captures everything needed to prepare for a productive session: email, full name, phone number, company, country, consultation service type, and a detailed brief of the project or query. Visitors select their preferred consultation mode (Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, or Phone Call) and the relevant link is shared after confirmation. Most importantly, the form allows the visitor to submit up to three alternative time slot preferences so that scheduling across time zones does not fall apart on the first attempt.
The time slot section is built with full global time zone support. Visitors select their own time zone, then choose their three preferred slots in local time. The system handles the conversion on the backend, so Venky's team always sees bookings in a consistent reference time regardless of where the visitor booked from. A mandatory 24-hour advance booking requirement is enforced at the form level, ensuring sessions are never booked without adequate preparation time.
With bookings coming in from multiple countries and time zones, Venky needed a proper management interface, not an inbox full of form submissions. We built a dedicated admin dashboard where the team can view all incoming bookings, confirm or reschedule sessions, track activity, and access reporting. The dashboard gives full operational control without requiring any technical knowledge or developer involvement for day-to-day management.

Full legal pages in place, including a Refund and Cancellation Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy, essential for a paid global consulting service.
This project required two separate technology decisions made deliberately. The main website needed to be simple for the client to manage and update day to day. The consultation booking platform and admin dashboard needed to be fully custom, fast, and capable of handling global scheduling logic, timezone management, payment collection, and a complete management interface. We used different tools for each, and built the custom platform entirely from scratch using a modern full-stack architecture.

The front-end framework powering the custom consultation booking platform at consultation.venkymurthy.com. Chosen for its performance, flexibility, and ability to handle the complex scheduling interface, timezone logic, multi-slot selection, and the admin dashboard views that no off-the-shelf booking tool could provide.
The backend runtime powering the server-side logic of the booking platform. Handles all API requests between the booking form, the admin dashboard, and the database, including booking creation, confirmation flows, rescheduling logic, and session management.
The communication layer connecting the Next.js front end to the Node.js backend. Every booking submission, admin action, status update, and report request moves through a structured REST API, keeping the platform modular and scalable as the consulting practice grows.
The database. Stores all booking records, customer details, session histories, slot preferences, timezone data, and admin activity. Every consultation request, confirmed or pending, lives here and is accessible through the dashboard in real time.
We started with nothing. The concept for Venky's personal brand was developed first: who he is, who he serves, and why they should trust him above anyone else in his field. The content architecture for the main website was mapped out, and the booking system requirements were scoped in full. After evaluating multiple third-party tools and finding none that met all the requirements, the decision to build custom was made and the technical architecture for the booking platform was designed.
The main website was designed and built using WordPress and Elementor. All content was written and placed: homepage, services, about, expertise, FAQ, contact, and blog structure. The site was reviewed and refined with the client during this phase.
The custom booking platform was built in Next.js. The multi-slot scheduling form, global time zone logic, consultation mode selection, service categorisation, and payment flow were all developed and tested. The admin dashboard was built alongside the booking system, covering booking management, session confirmation, rescheduling, and reporting.
Both platforms were connected, with the main website linking directly to the booking subdomain. The full booking flow was tested across countries, time zones, and devices. Edge cases were handled, the 24-hour advance booking rule was enforced at the form level, and legal pages were added. Both platforms were reviewed with the client and launched live.
Venky Murthy now has a professional digital presence and a booking infrastructure that can handle clients from any country, at any time, without the scheduling or payment friction that previously made global consulting difficult to manage.
