Web Development and Custom Platform

From a Business Idea to a Live Logistics Platform in 1 Month

Pinak Express did not exist before this project. No brand, no website, no operations system. Just an idea. We built everything, the brand, the website, the booking system, the shipment tracker, and the custom multi-partner operations platform, and launched a functioning logistics business from scratch.

The Project

A Business That Started With
an Idea and a Conversation With Us

Pinak Express did not exist before this project. There was no company registration page, no brand name anyone knew, no office with a logo on the door. There was one person with a clear vision: build a logistics company connecting the Northeast to PAN India, working across multiple shipping partners to serve the routes and cargo types that larger players overlook.

They came to us at the very beginning. No website, no brand, no operations system, nothing. Just an idea and the conviction to build something real around it.

We became their first digital partner and built everything from the ground up: the brand, the website, the booking system, the tracking platform, and the custom operations infrastructure behind all of it. Pinak Express launched as a business because of what we built together.

The Challenge

Turning an Idea Into a
Functioning Logistics Business, Online

Most projects start with at least something in place. A name. A logo. An existing customer base. This one started with none of that.

The challenge was not to improve a logistics business. It was to create one digitally from a standing start, and make it look and operate like an established player from the moment it went live.

Everything needed to be ready at the same time, because there was no phased rollout. The business launched when we launched it.

What We Needed to Build From Nothing

Brand Identity From Zero

A brand name, identity, and positioning for a logistics business that did not yet exist

Instant Credibility

A professional website that could make a brand new company feel credible to its very first customers

Rate Transparency

A way for customers to check rates before booking, critical for a new business trying to earn first-time trust

Booking and Scheduling

A booking and scheduling system that could start handling real shipments from day one

Shipment Tracking

A shipment tracking system so customers could follow their order without calling support

Multi-Partner Operations

A custom operations platform to manage shipments across multiple shipping partners simultaneously, since no off-the-shelf tool handled that combination

Custom Invoicing

A custom invoicing system to correctly generate invoices for multi-partner shipments

Business Reporting

Reporting so the founders could see what was happening across the business as it grew

What We Delivered

A Brand, a Website, and an
Operations Platform. All of It.

Pinak Express had a business idea. We built everything else, from the brand concept to the backend platform that keeps it running.

01

Brand Concept, Identity, and Content

Pinak Express had no name recognition, no visual identity, and no content to start from because it had never existed before. We built the brand positioning from the ground up: a Northeast-born logistics partner connecting the region to the nation with speed, reliability, and care. The logo concept, colour language, and visual identity were established as part of the website build. All website content was written by our team across every page: homepage, about, services, booking, tracking, and contact. When the site went live, so did the business.

02

Pincode-Based Price Calculator

One of the most important features for a logistics business is giving customers an instant rate before they commit. We built a pincode-based price calculator directly on the homepage. Customers enter their pickup pincode, delivery pincode, and package weight, and get a rate instantly, without calling anyone or waiting for a quote. For a brand new company with no existing reputation, this feature alone builds the trust that converts a first-time visitor into a first-time customer.

03

Booking and Scheduling System

The booking page captures everything the Pinak Express team needs to process a shipment: full name, contact details, pickup and delivery pincodes, package weight, dimensions, number of boxes, service type (Railway, Airway, Roadway, or Same Day), preferred pickup date, and any special instructions. The four-step flow, submit, get a quote, pickup, deliver, is communicated clearly so customers know exactly what happens after they hit submit.

04

Shipment Tracking System

Customers can track their shipment live using their tracking ID on the dedicated Track page. The system gives real-time visibility into where a shipment is in its journey, removing the need for customers to call support for status updates and reducing inbound inquiry volume from the very first day of operations.

05

Custom Operations Dashboard

This is the most technically significant part of the build. Because Pinak Express works with multiple shipping partners, standard logistics tools simply did not have a way to manage all of them in one place. We built a custom operations dashboard that brings every shipment, across every partner, into a single unified interface. The team can manage bookings, update statuses, coordinate across partners, and see exactly what is moving and through which channel at any point in time.

06

Custom Invoicing System

Standard invoicing tools are built for simple, single-vendor transactions. A multi-partner logistics operation needs invoices that reflect the actual complexity of the business. We built a custom invoicing system that lets the Pinak Express team generate accurate, professional invoices for each shipment, correctly accounting for the partner, route, and service type involved. No manual workarounds. No mismatched records.

Website Highlights

Built for Customers, Designed for Operations

01

Pincode-Based Price Calculator

Instant rate lookup by pickup pincode, delivery pincode, and package weight. Customers get a price before they book, which is the single biggest trust signal for a new logistics brand.

02

Online Booking and Scheduling

A structured booking form capturing all shipment details including service type, dimensions, weight, and preferred pickup date, across four modes: Railway, Airway, Roadway, and Same Day.

03

Live Shipment Tracking

Customers track their shipment in real time using a unique tracking ID, reducing support load and giving buyers confidence throughout the delivery journey.

04

Pincode Service Checker

A pincode delivery availability checker so customers can instantly confirm whether Pinak Express covers their area before booking.

05

Multi-Partner Operations Dashboard

A custom-built admin platform that consolidates shipments across all shipping partners into a single interface, with full booking management, status updates, and partner coordination built in.

06

Custom Invoice Generation

Purpose-built invoicing that handles the complexity of multi-partner shipments, generating accurate, professional invoices that standard tools cannot produce for this type of operation.

07

Reporting and Analytics

The operations dashboard includes reporting functionality so the Pinak Express team can track shipment volumes, partner performance, and business activity over time.

08

Four Shipping Modes

Railway, Airway, Roadway, and Same Day Delivery, all bookable through the same system, with the service type captured at the booking stage.

09

24/7 Customer Support Messaging

Consistent support availability communicated across every page, reinforcing the reliability positioning that a new logistics brand depends on to earn early trust.

10

Mobile-Responsive Design

Both the customer-facing website and the booking flow are fully responsive. Customers booking a shipment from Assam on a mobile phone get the same clean experience as anyone on a desktop.

Tech Stack

What We Built It On

This project had two layers of technology working together. The customer-facing website needed to be fast, professional, and manageable by the client team. The operations platform underneath it needed to be fully custom, capable of handling multi-partner logistics workflows, pincode-based availability search, order management, and billing, none of which any off-the-shelf plugin could handle out of the box. We built both layers on the same foundation, extending WordPress far beyond what it does by default.

MySQL

WordPress and Elementor

The front-end foundation. Used to design and build the customer-facing website including the homepage, services, booking form, tracking page, and contact. Gives the Pinak Express team full control over content updates without needing a developer for routine changes.

HTML, Bootstrap, and JavaScript

The custom interface layer. Used to build the front-end structure of the custom dashboard and the interactive elements across the platform, including the booking form flows, the pincode availability checker interface, and the billing management views.

PHP

The backend logic layer. Powers all custom functionality built on top of WordPress: the order and shipping management system, the pincode availability search logic, the billing and invoice generation engine, and the data flows between the customer-facing site and the operations dashboard.

MySQL

The database. Stores and manages all shipment records, customer data, pincode availability data, order histories, and billing information across the entire platform. Every booking, every invoice, and every partner record lives here.

  1. Week 1Discovery, Brand, and Architecture

We started with the business idea itself: the vision for Pinak Express, which shipping partners they planned to work with, how bookings would come in, and what the operational workflow needed to look like. The brand concept and positioning were developed. The website architecture was mapped, and the full requirements for the custom operations platform were scoped before any development began.

    • Vision & workflow defined
    • Brand concept developed
    • Requirements scoped
    Wk 1
  2. Week 2Website Design, Content, and Build

The website was designed and built using WordPress and Elementor. All content was written and placed across every page. The price calculator, pincode checker, and booking form were developed and integrated. The shipment tracking system was built and connected.

    • WordPress & Elementor build
    • Calculator & booking form
    • Tracking system connected
    Wk 2
  3. Week 3Operations Platform Development

The custom multi-partner dashboard was built, covering booking management, shipment status tracking across partners, and coordination workflows. The custom invoicing system was developed alongside, designed to handle multi-partner complexity correctly from the first invoice generated.

    • Multi-partner dashboard
    • Booking & status tracking
    • Invoicing system built

  4. Week 4Testing, Reporting, and Launch

Both platforms were tested end to end. The reporting and analytics layer was added to the operations dashboard. Every booking flow, tracking function, price calculation, and invoice generation was tested across scenarios. The full build was reviewed with the client and both platforms went live together.

The Outcome

A Business That Did Not Exist,
Now Live and Operating.

Pinak Express went from an idea in a conversation to a live, operational logistics business in one month. The website, the booking system, the tracking platform, and the operations dashboard all went live together. The business started taking its first real shipments immediately after launch.

1

MONTH

01

A Business Launched From Scratch

Not a rebrand. Not a redesign. A logistics company that did not exist before this project, now live, branded, and operational.

02

Customers Can Book, Price, and Track Without Calling

The price calculator, booking system, and shipment tracker eliminate the three most common manual touchpoints in a logistics business, critical for a new company that cannot afford to lose a first-time customer to friction.

03

All Partners, One Place

The custom dashboard consolidates every shipment across every partner into a single view. From the very first day of operations, the team had a proper system to work from instead of spreadsheets and manual coordination.

04

Invoicing Built for How They Actually Operate

Custom invoices that correctly reflect multi-partner shipments, in place before the first invoice ever needed to be sent.

05

A Foundation Built to Grow On

Reporting and analytics, a scalable booking system, and a custom platform that grows with the business rather than being outgrown by it.

“They came to us with an idea and walked away with a business. That is the kind of project we exist for.”
